Christmas ornaments in 1973. At first they were mainly glass balls and yarn
ornaments. Many of the first pieces were Betsey Clark designs. Hallmark
moved away from the glass Christmas ornaments and began creating Christmas
ornaments that were figurines and characters. Over the years Hallmark
ornaments have been created in designs of Star Trek ships, Disney
characters, Harley-Davidson , Barbie ornaments and many other pop culture

New York City is just a couple-hour plane flight from
the Midwest, but for 1960s teenager Poppy Parker, it might as well be in a
different universe. She has traded hanging at the local malt shop and school
dances for the glamorous life of a teenage fashion model in the Big Apple! You
can take a girl out of the Midwest, but you can't take the Midwest out of the
girl. Under her fashionable hair, perfect makeup and fancy couture clothes,
Poppy is just a simple girl. Will she be able to dazzle the city that never
sleeps? So far, the answer is "yes"! The Poppy Parker doll uses a brand-new
custom sculpt with a molded eyelash ridge. Her body uses the FR: Nippon Misaki
body with articulated wrists and ankles. 12" fashion dolls

Robert Tonner’s interest in the glamorous fashion dolls of the
50’s formed a part of his early artistic inspiration, leading him to
a career in fashion design. After graduating from Parsons School of
Design, Tonner was hired by Bill Blass, designing the Blassport
label for many years. Throughout his 7th Avenue career,
Tonner’s spin on modern American dressing continually caught the eye
of the fashion world’ s trend-spotters—his designs were frequently
featured in Women’s Wear Daily, Town &
Country, NewYork Magazine, The New York Times and Vogue.
Tonner’s long-time fascination with doll art inspired him to try
his hand at sculpting original figures. In 1985, Tonner received a
glowing review from the National Institute of American Doll Artists
(NIADA) for a model-like fashion doll he created for critique.
During the years that followed, Tonner turned more of his attention
to developing and perfecting his doll designs, eventually leaving
7thAvenue to start the Robert Tonner Doll Company, Inc. in 1991.
Tonner’s “muse” Tyler Wentworth, arguably his most famous
creation, is based on a fictional 7th Avenue fashion
designer. Her exquisite wardrobe, crafted from couture quality
silks, cashmere, and brocades, is made without compromise, and is
rich with handcrafted details.

When Christophe Marquis first invited Victoire to visit his shop and
review his first collection, sales were a little slow. The war had
taken its toll on everyone in Europe, except Victoire Roux that is.
No matter what, she had always made it a point to stand proud, never
let herself go and always look her best to help boost everyone's
morale. In other words, she resisted the invader with glamour and
flair! Of course, the minute she walked in, she spotted a few
outfits she liked, switched a few things over, added her own twist
and voila, every sophisticated Parisian socialite was suddenly
whispering about Monsieur Marquis' little shop on Avenue Montaigne.
Fashion history had just received its first victorious shock
treatment, Victoire Roux style. 12" Doll
